Keith McCallum in 'the flesh'
My name is Keith McCallum, and I live in northeast Ohio, outside of Cleveland. I’ve been teaching the Bible and planting churches since about 1981, beginning in Xenos in Columbus, and now in northeastern Ohio at KSU and Akron University. I’m an OSU Buckeye alumni (journalism), post-grad from Ashland Seminary, and a voracious student of life.
My current work includes:
Some of my general work includes:
- Visit the Northeast Ohio Xenos Web, where I’m a senior pastor.
- Listen to my Bible Teaching Podcasts - I teach at Central Teaching every Saturday night.
- Check out The Scarlet Thread - a book I wrote with my aging mother, which provides a bird’s-eye view of the Bible from start to finish.
- Check out the NeoZine (online magazine) where I’ve been writing about the Love Ethics found in the Bible.
- My Web log (blog) is Remonstrance - a running commentary on current events and issues running around the Web.
I use this site to keep people updated.

Again, for Mike & Justin, let’s try this again:
- Mike, get a NASB Study Bible.
- Read history of Xenos. Be able to explain what this article is saying about the key elements of Xenos growth.
- Read The Emergent Church and understand its key problems.
- Read The ‘Restless Reformed’ and understand what’s happening among today’s Christian churches.
- Read The Dawn of Covenant Theology so we can discuss the development of “church death”…
- Be able to identify the qualities of a healthy church, and from which passage these are found.

the retreat teaching
See the PowerPoint slides from the retreat.
Here’s the teaching lineup for the Word retreat:
- Revolution! - (i.e., “What Is This?” - a discussion about the authoritative basis for the life of the Body). Unknown, but probably Jordan, if he reads the first 13 chapters of Acts and gets his CG homework done.
- Jesus, the Christ - the foundation for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Nobody assigned, but possibly Mikey.
- The Young Church - Greg, put some comments, below, about what teachings your girls are doing…
- Body Life - B! - The unity and inter-dependence of the Holy Spirit manifested in the Body of Christ. But union is still required.
In addtion,be sure to listen to The Road Less Traveled by Dave Browning. It’s all about Acts 2, and its implications for us.
